Tromsø and Northern Norway should offer an exciting and diverse labour market that in itself is a reason to move to, and remain in, the region. 

The initiative collaborates with numerous regional actors to create meeting places and professional communities across industries and disciplines. Activities include projects with businesses, and creating arenas where young workers, entrepreneurs and students can meet, exchange ideas and build community. Networks for young employees, apprenticeship initiatives, focus on future job opportunities in rural areas, and entrepreneurship support are also being developed. 

Goals: 

• Strengthen collaboration between businesses, educational institutions and public actors to develop attractive, future-oriented employment opportunities in Northern Norway. 

• Establish networks and initiatives for young workers and apprentices to promote competence, belonging and recruitment to the region. 

• Increase young people’s awareness of career opportunities in the north.

• AiNo (Workforce Recruitment in the North) 

• The Arctic Youth Championship with Junior Achievement together with Young Entrepreneurship Norway 

• Opportunities Fair, showcasing career and training opportunities for young people in Northern Norway
